Itta Somaia is a contemporary, Australian artist inspired by colour, nature, hiking and travel. Her paintings reflect all these passions and emerge on canvas as bold textured movement, often done au plein air whilst hiking, or in her home studio in the Macedon Ranges in Country Victoria. Itta is a third generation artist, a geologist, a Capoeirista and brings all these disciplines into her painting. She currently explores the beauty of oil paints and sticks as well as soft pastels.
